To avoid long lines on Day One of the event, all Riders should begin the Online Check-in process before arriving to The Ride. Here you can watch the safety video, enter emergency contact information and more from the comfort of your own home or office.
- In order to complete Online Check-in and receive your Ride Packet in the mail, you must raise the $2,500 minimum and complete Online Check-in by May 27, 2012. - If you reach the minimum after May 27, you may still check in online up until June 6 but your Ride packet will be available for pick-up onsite at Friday Night Drop-off or on Saturday morning, Day One. - If you have not raised the minimum by June 6, you will have to complete the check-in process onsite on Day One, June 9.
Once you have checked in online, please continue to fundraise as the money will continue to be credited to your account. Please remember: the more money we raise, the more lives we are able to save!
Secured overnight Bike Parking will be available on Friday, June 8. Riders are encouraged to drop-off their bicycles between 2:00pm 7:00pm, to avoid the difficulty of arriving on Day One with both bike and luggage in tow.

THE ROUTE
Check out this animated preliminary course preview of your upcoming Ride! It will give you a whole new perspective on the adventure you're in for. Please note that this is a preview of the route and is subject to change as we work out final details.
So in the meantime, enjoy this virtual trip, continue with your training and fundraising and stay tuned for more details as we near your big weekend.
Encourage friends and family to bring out big, colourful signs, smiling faces and enthusiastic cheers to support the Riders on the route at the official 2012 Cheering Stations of The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. Download the complete list of all Cheering Stations locations.
- After Opening Ceremonies, thousands of Riders will embark on this epic 2-day ride - please get out on the route safely. Always ride predictably and in control. Ride in a straight line, and consciously try to avoid excessive weaving back and forth.
- Cooperate with Ride Officials at all times. Follow the instructions you are given as we will separate waves of Riders by a few minutes to help with flow.
- Be patient
- Sweep Assistance: If you are injured or unable to ride, use a “thumbs down” signal to stop a passing sweep vehicle. These vehicles are reserved for injured Riders and those unable to complete the day’s ride; they are not to be utilized as a taxi service. They will not go directly to Camp during the day. Sweep vehicles will take you to the next Pit Stop, where buses will take you to Camp. Only injured Riders will receive prompt medical attention and transport. If you are picked up early in the day, it may be hours before you are delivered to Camp. As it nears route closure time, sweep vehicles will pick up Riders who are still on the road.
- Medical Emergencies: With any emergency, dial 911, if possible. Then, immediately report any medical emergencies to Ride Staff or Crew at Pit Stops, on sweep vehicles, at Camp, or in the Concierge Tent, whichever is most accessible. If you’re on the route, after you call 911, contact the official Ride (800) number imprinted on your Rider wristband to alert the Ride dispatch. Sweep vehicles rove the route on the lookout for accidents. Again, use a “thumbs down” signal if you need help. Staff are equipped with a 2-way radio and a mobile phone. They will have comprehensive information on local hospitals, emergency facilities, police, fire, and other important emergency information. Doctors, emergency medical personnel and an ambulance will be available.
- Bike mechanics: During The Ride, while bike mechanics generously donate their time and labour, you are still responsible to pay for all parts used to repair your bike so be sure to have some cash with you on the event.
